About Flashing File Converter

This utility is for companies that

      use a SWI Slitter 

      use a SWI Folder 

      and also have Jorns Folder.

An operator can use SWI software to draw the flashing, slit using the SWI Slitter and either fold on a SWI Folder, OR send the file through the Flashing converter to the Jorns Folder.

This means the Flashing needs to be entered only once

Jorns then uses the barcode sticker placed on the metal blank, when it is produced in the SWI slitter. The Barcode represents the Jobid and is the name of the profile used in Jorns.

In a fully automated system, the SWI Profile is converted and sent to the Jorns, At the Jorns, the machine operator just scans the barcode to bring up the required Flashing Profile.

The utility supports the conversion of the parameters of a SWI text file, and converts them to their equivalent Jorns XML values.It also converts from a Jorns XML file to a SWI TXT file.

Key features supported are Fold Length and Angles, Hems Length and Angles, Tapers, Colour Side, Rotations.

The Web utility produces athe converted XML file, and a diagnostic PDF of the converted data, the flashing Barcode and shape.

The downloaded XML file can be manually copied to the Jorns folder for testing.

The utility determines the file type and does the appropriate conversion.

The conversion routines are also available as an API.
